Bunny Fight! which I only barely captured as we were walking the coastal path north of Berwick right near the English-Scottish border. Reenacting a troubled past, that long streak on the left would of course be William Wallace and the shadowed fore-limbs there attacking from the right King Edward. Though not captured here, William Wallace would eventually be taken and put on trial, found guilty and hanged, drawn and quartered. His limbs were displayed, separately, in Newcastle upon Tyne, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Stirling, and Aberdeen. Cute!

This is a horse who lived on the farm where we stayed. She and her friend would always walk over to see us on our way up the lane to catch the bus into town.

One of the several great characters Lisa and I met in what would become our favorite pub in Berwick-upon-Tweed, The Pilot Inn. At this point in the conversation he’d already told us the complete story of Robert Redford’s and David Bowie’s visits to Berwick and his years as a footballer in Australia. Meanwhile, Morris dancers(video) had just arrived outside. I thought being a redhead came with a stigma but being a Morris dancer seems to invite a uniquely potent response from the general English population.
