The strangely simultaneous death of Orson Welles and birth of Betacam

A couple of weeks after Orson’s death, his cinematographer, the late Gary Graver, came by my office for a visit. Gary said something I will never forget. “I’ve been driving around for two weeks with Orson’s ashes in the truck of my car.”
