There are quite a few new real world reviews of the Canon 7d appearing that are unfavorable. Seems to come down to Canons choice of higher pixel density on the aps-c sensor but read for yourself here:

I’m nowhere near ready for a new camera but that isn’t stopping me from shopping around like I am. After reading these reviews I’m much more comfortable now sticking to lower pixel density and an aps-c sensor size. Though the landscape itch still makes me nervous(“stitch that itch”, from the cheap seats!). But all this is very good news for the bank account. Nikon D300s would be the purchase if I were actually buying and not playing in the fantasy leagues.
Sure I wanted 1080p but what was I thinking…? I’m not even a decent photographer and I thought I could just become a videographer at the same time… I’m a technofool!
End of discussion about tools. Back to thinking about what I want to take images of instead.
