Yep, from the very same Lamar Smith, with 5 CA co-sponsors. When all else fails, lump the objectors together with pedophiles and/or terrorists.

I can’t find much evidence for this but it wouldn’t surprise me in the least if it did happen. This is one of the legislative “techniques” congress regularly uses against internal obstructions. It might however be a surprise to the unlucky members of congress connected to such a cynical manoeuvre to discover the limit of their power in an even greater uprising than created the first go around. Or not. But on the horizon is an era of decidedly more balanced power structures—between congress and people.
